Reception for Personal Allegories

William LaChance uses real and imagined spaces to weave his images. Jesse Thomas shows us dream worlds using a juxtaposition of pop imagery, fantasy and references to art history. Ian Weaver’s vision incorporates installation and painting in which he opposes memory and sentimentality with the harshness of documentation and bleak cityscapes. The exhibition, which opened Aug. 22 continues through Sept. 28. Reception 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at COCA, 524 Trinity Ave., St. Louis, MO. Free. Call 314.725.6555
