Northern Haiti: Human Landscape Photographs by Patti Gabriel

Northern Haiti: Human Landscape is a collection of images by St. Louis-based photographer Patti Gabriel, who first traveled to Haiti in 2010 to document the work of volunteers, doctors and nurses. In two subsequent visits to Northern Haiti in 2011, Gabriel has captured the dignity and resilience of the people in a land of historic significance and remarkable beauty. Zlatko Ćosić has worked a form of magic with his sound installation, shaped from recordings on location in Haiti, which will accompany the photography exhibit. The soundscape brings Haiti and its remarkable people much closer to the audience.
