2010 Workplace Giving Campaign

An Arts and Education Council Workplace Giving Program is a simple and easy way to support the arts in our community.  Any company, school or organization may participate.

Why is Workplace Giving so important?

  • The arts make St. Louis a desirable place to live and work.
  • The arts have an economic impact of $714 million regionally.
  • Over 12 million people attend art performances, classes and events each year.
  • The arts contribute to our children’s education by strengthening creative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Arts outreach programs empower young people to overcome life’s obstacles.

The Arts and Education Council is here to keep art happening in the St. Louis area.  Workplace Giving amounts to one-third of all the donations the Council receives.  These programs help employees become engaged in their community.  And through payroll deduction, employees can make monthly donations and still receive the yearly benefits of being an Arts and Education Council member.

Keeping St. Louis a great place to live, work and play is the goal of the Arts and Education Council.  By providing crucial funds to arts organizations we ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in the arts.  Nearly 80 organizations receive funding from The Council.  Click on who we support to learn more about these organizations and their performance, education and outreach programs.
