Three grants and programs initiatives we’re looking forward to in 2021
4 February, 2021
Even amidst the difficult times of 2020, the arts rose to the challenge of keeping us connected, providing healing and moments of joy. Our community is more vibrant and whole when our arts and culture scene is thriving and supported. In 2021, we are looking forward to even more arts experiences thanks to your support. Our grants and programs team, comprised of Director of Grants and Programs Cynthia P. Davis and Grants and Programs Coordinator Jessireé Jenkins, is hard at work ensuring art keeps happening. We're excited to share three grant and program initiatives they're working on.
Creative Impact Fund Recovery Microgrants
On February 15, applications will open for the Creative Impact Fund Recovery Microgrants. In recognition of the hardship many arts organizations are facing, the Arts and Education Council is making $2,000 unrestricted microgrants to 10 arts and arts education nonprofit partners in our community with a demonstrated need. Catalyst Conversations are coming back this Spring! Each virtual conversation will feature people who are using their talents and unique experiences to inspire, connect and shape new perspectives. We are looking forward to discussions with artists —some playful, some serious, but all engaging and thought-provoking. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
Arts Access Program Launch
Through an ambitious Arts Access program launching later this year, the Arts and Education Council will bring quality arts experiences to even more individuals in our community. Through partnerships with local arts and culture organizations, free and reduced tickets will be available for individuals that hold EBT cards. When it's safe to gather for in-person arts events, we're looking forward to welcoming new arts goers with this program.
The generosity of donors like you makes it possible for more people to have access to meaningful, accessible arts experiences. Keep art happening with a gift to the Arts and Education Council today.
