The Free People x Americans for the Arts Partnership advocates for the importance of arts in early public education. Through this program, Free People will be distributing ten $4,000 (four thousand dollar) awards to public school educators across the US in great need of support in teaching art, music, dance, theater, creative writing, and other artistic disciplines. Contestants should be champions of diversity and creativity within their local communities who can use their award to purchase supplies and equipment that nurture the creativity of their students.

How to Apply

Students, parents, and peer teachers are invited to nominate a teacher at their school by writing an essay (300 words or less) answering the prompt: "HOW HAS AN ARTS TEACHER CHAMPIONED YOUR CREATIVE SPIRIT AT SCHOOL?"

Review panels including members of Americans For The Arts, Free People, and Free People's ambassador Brittany O'Grady will select the ten most deserving educators. Winners will be announced in January 2023.
