Arts and Education Council grantees including St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Bach Society of Saint Louis, The Sheldon and Jazz St. Louis continue to bring music to our community in new ways. Whether you are missing Powell Hall, or you would prefer to stay snuggled up on your couch – you won’t want to miss these performances.

Open Air Concert Series at The Grandel

Enjoy some of the freshest sounds in St. Louis at Open Air, a concert series presented by Kranzberg Arts Foundation and Jazz St. Louis, an Arts and Education Council grantee. Featuring and celebrating St. Louis' finest, this tented, dinner experience takes place outside The Grandel in the Grand Center Arts District on Friday and Saturday nights though October. Performances this weekend include Ptah Williams + Tracer featuring Debby Lennon on Oct. 16 and Good 4 The Soul on Oct. 17.

Virtual Bachtoberfest

Join friends new and old for a virtual Bachtoberfest, hosted by BeerChoir. The evening will be filled with local St. Louis flair that can be experienced from anywhere. During the interactive event, listeners will tune in and have the option to sing along with traditional Oktoberfest drinking songs, trivia, virtual brewery tours and live interviews from local and national arts leaders.

Live From The Sheldon 

Live From The Sheldon premieres Saturday, Oct. 17 with one of St. Louis’ favorite musical groups, The 442s. Combining three members of the world-class St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and two of the St. Louis’ finest jazz musicians, The 442s are a genre-defying acoustic quintet named for the modern standard tuning of 442 Hz. Tune in for the first of a new free monthly, virtual series spotlighting some of the most creative artists locally and from around the country.

St. Louis Symphony Orchestra at Powell Hall

This weekend, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will resume live, in-person concerts at Powell Hall beginning Oct. 15, led by Music Director Stephane Deneve. The chamber orchestra concerts will be performed by an ensemble of up to 40 musicians for a limited-capacity, socially distanced audience. Live concerts are the latest addition to the SLSO’s 2020/2021 season, which also includes a robust portfolio of outdoor concerts throughout the community, digital media performances, virtual events and educational resources.
