2018 Strings Attached Award Guitars

Video: 2016 "Christmas Guitars" community performance featuring Strings Attached youth who have received Awarded Instruments, including youth who benefited from the 2016 stARTup-StL Crowdfunding Campaign for Award Instruments.

Each year, Strings Attached project awards local youth with their own guitars and ukuleles from the contributions of donors like you! To date, we've given instruments to 70 deserving youth who have studied music for over a year, are consistent with lessons and practice and give back to the community with performances. Participating youth have performed at Little Creek Nature Center, Make Music Day, Ferguson Public Library, Music on the Porch Day, community recitals and much more around St. Louis. Greater than half of the youth currently with the projecgt have been with Strings Attached for over a year and a half, and nearly two-thirds have used their music lessons to perform outside of Strings Attached at school, church or in their community. Additionally, over half have shown improvement in study habits and grades since beginning their lessons.

You can help continue this impactful tradition by donating to our award instrument fund this Holiday season! Donation gifts received will support our project that provides 80 youth who currently receive music lessons each week and will help directly fund 10 deserving youth with their own instruments in the coming year.
