The Arts and Education Council offers a variety of grant opportunities to nonprofit organizations that have arts and arts education at its core to invest our donors contributions in the people, programs and organizations that promote what we call the elements of a vibrant community. The arts can foster innovation, inspire youth, build bridges between cultures, energize communities, forge connections and enrich lives. Arts and Healing Initiative
The Arts and Healing Initiative, in partnership with Missouri Foundation for Health, aims to improve the quality of life for people throughout St. Louis City and County in its first year, and other Missouri counties in subsequent years. The overarching goal of the Arts and Healing Initiative is to increase the capacity to heal through the arts. Applications for the 2021-22 grant year are now closed.
Arts and Education Fund for Teachers
The Arts and Education Fund for Teachers is a unique opportunity that provides critical funds to arts education programs serving schools in the St. Louis bi-state area. The Fund’s goal is to support classroom-based projects and artistic opportunities that engage students in the creative process. Applications are open through September 15, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.
Art Education Fund
The Art Education Fund, established with a lead contribution by Wells Fargo Advisors, provides tuition scholarships and transportation subsidies intended to remove financial barriers that may prevent talented high school art students in underserved or low-income areas from expanding their creative training outside the traditional classroom setting. Nominations for students are accepted on a rolling basis.
Bayer Fund Rural Community Arts Program
The Bayer Fund Rural Community Arts Program is a partnership initiative that strengthens rural communities through the arts. Funding from the program brings artists and entertainers into rural classrooms and performance venues so people of all ages living in counties surrounding the St. Louis metropolitan area have meaningful access to the arts. Applications, which are by invitation only, are now closed.
Bayer Creative Impact Fund Recovery Microgrant Program
The Creative Impact Fund Recovery Microgrant Program, with lead support from Bayer Fund, will provide grants to arts and/or arts education organizations in the St. Louis bi-state area that demonstrate immediate need due to the ongoing challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications are now closed.
PNC Program Grants
PNC Program Grants, underwritten by the PNC Foundation, provide merit-based grants to organizations in the St. Louis bi-state region providing arts and arts education programs that address community needs. Applications are now closed.
Opperating Support Grants
Operating Support Grants provide ongoing, unrestricted support to arts organizations whose programming supports the Arts and Education Council's goal to drive community impact by promoting the elements of a vibrant community. The 2021 Operating Support Grant application process has concluded. We anticipate applications will open in Spring 2022.
