Director of Marketing and Communications
Emily Hellmuth joined the Arts and Education Council in February 2017 as director of marketing and communications. In this role, Hellmuth is responsible for all marketing and communications plans and activities, ensuring they enhance the Arts and Education Council's ability to support the arts and arts education in St. Louis. Prior to her current role, she served as communications coordinator at the Arts and Education Council and as marketing assistant at Shakespeare Festival St. Louis. In 2016, Hellmuth relocated from Indianapolis where she served as manager of interpretation at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
Hellmuth has held a variety of arts and nonprofit positions including communications manager at the Indiana Arts Commission, institutional giving manager at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis and senior assistant director of admissions at Washington University in St. Louis. She holds a master of arts in arts administration from Indiana University and a bachelor of fine arts in painting from Washington University with a minor in American culture studies.
In her free time, Emily enjoys exploring St. Louis with her husband, a University City native, and their two young children. She also serves as co-chair of the St. Louis chapter of the Alumni and Parents Admissions Program at Washington University and volunteers with Komen Missouri.
